Sandra Bass Palmer

Friday, April 23rd, 2010, Sandra was taken Home to be with the Lord. She was in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania where she would be speaking on Saturday, traveling from the airport with the Pastor's wife when their car was hit by a truck. They both went home to be with the Lord at that time.

Sandra has been a truly vital part of our Women's Ministries, being our South Texas District Director but also because we were her Home-Girls. She loved the Women of Humble First Assembly, but she also had a special love for all women.

Home of Hope Texas, the home being built for victims of sex trafficking, in the Houston area was the vision the Lord gave her several years ago. Work is being done on the 20 acre piece of property north of Houston in preparation for the main building which will house women and girls who have been rescued.

There will be a Service at Humble First Assembly on Saturday, May 8th at 2PM to Celebrate her Life. For those wishing to give a memorial gift in honor of Sandra, they may do so by making it out and sending it to the South Texas District Office, P.O. Box 9714, Houston, TX, 77213, with a memo listing "Sandra Palmer Memorial". These funds will be directed through the Project Destiny account and to Home of Hope in Sandra's memory.

Please feel free to comment on this post to share your thoughts and memories of Sandra's powerful yet short life here on this earth. The Lord blessed us to be a part of her work and vision through our support of Project Destiny and Home of Hope.

  1. Thank you for posting the sweet article about Sandra along with her beautiful photo.
I knew Sandra since we were in 7th grade. She was my best friend all through High School and we made some wonderful memories as teenagers!
It was always obvious, even back then, that God was going to accomplish great things through Sandra.
I feel very grateful to God for allowing me to know Sandra. She was a jewel and will not be forgotten.
